Where we work
Surfacing in West Sussex
Laymac Ltd covers West Sussex and the villages around it. Tell us what needs doing and we will come and look at it.
West Sussex is our home county. Laymac is registered in Horsham, and a good deal of what we do sits within half an hour of it.
It is a county of large rural estates and small market towns. The land around Petworth and Midhurst is estate country, with long approach drives, parkland and farm access where the appearance of a surface matters as much as its strength. Out towards Chichester the ground opens up into arable and the work is yards, grain stores and access for heavy machinery. North of the Downs, on the Weald clay around Horsham and Billingshurst, water is the problem: it sits, and it takes tracks and drives apart from underneath.
Being based here means a site visit is rarely more than a short drive, and it means we know what the ground does before we open it up.

What people say
In their words, not ours
Farm track had been breaking up for years and we had patched it twice. They dug it out properly, sorted the drainage first and it has been through a winter now without moving.
Yard resurfaced around a working farm. They phased it so we could still get the milk lorry in and out every day, which nobody else quoting for it had even mentioned.
Came out, walked the drive with us and told us it did not need replacing, just dressing. Saved us a lot of money and they still turned up to do the smaller job properly.
